Refinance with bad credit?

June 20, 2010 - 10:00 pm 4 Comments

My husband has poor credit and is stuck in an ARM loan on his house, which he has NEVER missed a payment to. He is currently with Wells Fargo and they are requiring 2 tax years at the same job before they will refinance us. Does anyone know a company that is reputable in working with people with low credit and can refinance us into a FIXED rate?
the house loan in 74,000 the tax appraisal (this is the lowest appraisal) is for 89,000 most likely can be appraised for over 100,000
his interest rate is 9.95 =( I do not know where the original loan papers are think his X has them so i do not know why it remains so high

HUD for HOMES,
FHA
Depends on how bad your credit it. Great that haven’t missed any payments, that helps. Plans to make some really low interest loans available, but unlike when you bought, won’t give them to those with Lousy credit. Lenders see poor credit as a history of making poor financial decisions, making you a poor risk.
TRY talking to lender to see if you can get Loan Modification. It’s not a refi, but a change in interest rate. HUD helps, or credit counseling (HUD certified) agencies if you can’t get lender to do it. Doesn’t change the amount you owe them, just the interest rate on it. Most ARMS are at pretty low rates right now.

Refinance a house with bad credit?

I’ve owned a house for 3 years. Towards mid last year, i had financial trouble(Layoffs) and managed to get 6 30 day late payments and 1 60 day late payment. In addition, my lender increased my rate since my adjustable expiration date was just about the same time. Now i’m back to current but my mortgage payment is up by over 1000.00. It’s a strain. I tried to refi late last and was denied. Since i’m current, what should i do? I’m seriously thinking of selling the damn house.

I’d first like to repond to those people who have gave me their input maybe I should add that I CAN afford my car I’m not behind on my payments, or even late etc as anybody who is trying to put money in their pocket -I was wondering if I can get a better interest rate and a lower payment- as far as showing off- I have a Nissan Altima and if that’s showing off I’d like to see what you’re driving.

Anyway to avoid these type of comments let me add that my score is low but I have been paying my debt monthly and am current with all my creditors

Autop finance is what I do for a living.

Try Capital-One, H.S.B.C., Wells Fargo and Citifinancial Auto Finance.

They are my best lenders.

Where can I refinance my car if I have bad credit?

June 20, 2010 - 9:59 pm 5 Comments

i have really bad credit and my car note is high i am looking for another lender any options even if the intrest rate dosent decrease that much its ok

It is not likely you will be able to refinance your car, especially if you have bad credit. It is very difficult to get credit right now, and typically you can only finance about 80% of value on a used car…so unless you have a bunch of equity on your car you will have a very difficult time refinancing.

I want to refinance my car loan but I have really bad credit any suggestion on where to get a loan?

June 20, 2010 - 9:51 pm 9 Comments

I have a really high car note with an 18% interest rate I really want to refinance without a cosigner is it possible

If you have a bad credit history still the loan market place is full of lenders who are ever willing to offer you a fresh loan. But you should be meeting some conditions laid down by the lenders. Loans for bad credit people are in fact easier to get then they were ever before, thanks mainly to cut-throat competition amongst the lenders. Lenders are giving loans to the bad credit people who have late payments, payment defaults, arrears, county court judgments or any credit problems. These loans are available for any purpose like home improvements, purchasing a new or used car of your choice, for wedding and holiday tour, debt consolidation or for paying child’s tuition fees.

Every lender in approving loans surely likes to see if the bad credit borrower has sufficient capacity to repay the loan in timely manner. If the borrower earns well, has regular bank balance, has been an employee for some years and has a convincing loan repayment plan in place, then the lenders do not usually hesitate much. So ensure that you have adequate repaying capacity before applying for a loan. Also, you should first check your credit report for any errors. If your credit score is too low then you would be charged a very high rate of interest. So it is advisable to first pay off some easy debts to improved credit score and then you should apply for loan at better rates.

how to do refinances my car loan with bad credit?

June 20, 2010 - 9:51 pm 3 Comments

i have a car loan on a 2008 ford, that is $16,865, i want to put 7,000 on to the car loan and i have that money the refinance my credit is bad filed Bankruptcy 4 years ago. i want o refinance my loan to 9,865 the bank that has to loan will not do it and can’t find one that will anyone have any options for me.

Banks generally don’t refinance auto loans. Depending on the interest rate of your auto loan, a personal loan might be a way to "refinance" your auto loan but if you have sub-par credit you will probably have a tough time getting one of those as well. You can always put the $7K towards the principle and you will end up paying off the loan sooner and pay less interest.

I got myself into a really bad situation…bought a car in August 06 and financed it directly through the dealership. I was told they’d send me my payment book, to go home and wait on the details of the loan to be worked out but that my monthly payment would be no more than $100 what I was paying for the car I traded in. I waited, and waited. December rolls around, they threaten to come repossess the car because I had not paid…yet they had never sent me an invoice. I go in, the rude guy shoves a bunch of papers in front of me…I found out I had been driving on illegal tags. The deal didn’t get complete until December and at that point I finally sign a sales contract, only it happened so fast I didn’t know what I had gotten myself into. I just didn’t want them to take my car. Anyway the dealership has me financed at 20.400% interest. I have paid that for 18 months, never missing a payment. They are not reporting to the credit companies.
Someone also made a mistake in the invoices they were sending me for the last year and a half (that is WHEN they actually sent invoices). So they apparantly did not factor in the interest. It has added an additional $5000 something to what I thought I owed on the car itself. Because they are not reporting it to the credit companies, I am not getting my credit built up. I desperately want out from under this dealership. They have done nothing but screwed me over since day one. There are more bad things they have done but I could go on and on with it. Simply put, I cannot afford $436.25 a month car payment anymore. When I bought the car, I was told they’d report it and I could get it refinanced within a year or two. Well that time has come and my life situation has changed…I am newly married among other things. What can I do? How could I possibly get it refinanced?
I tried to request it be reported to my credit reports, as a consumer and was told I cannot do that. That the lender must open an account with the companies, TransUnion, Equifax, Experian. I have really been screwed over BIG TIME! The woman who handles the paperwork at the dealership said these companies told her I had to request it to be added, but we know this is not true!

I have no co-signer and to make matters worse they have applied at least 3/4 of every payment to the INTEREST so I owe more than the car is worth towards the principal at this time.

Not really sure there is a question in there… You can’t be upset about the interest or the payment amount since you voluntarily signed all the paperwork… And after waiting for 4 months… when the average customer would of course phone the dealership after 2-3 weeks…
Throughout all your rambling story, the only thing I can gather is "Lesson learned!" … and be thankful the dealership DIDN’T come get their car!

Bad credit. How can one refinance a balloon mortgage to a fixed loan.?

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have… however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

My father passed away and my mother and I are needing to refinance her home – we both have bad credit ideas?

I have been denied by 2 mortgage companies already and I just feel like the equity should speak for itself. Someone please advise????

Is this to lower the payment, make improvements, or pay bills? If she’s having problems making the payment, probably the first thing to do would be to call the loss mitigation department of the mortgage company she is presently with to see if the mortgage can be re-written, payments be repaid, whatever. If she’s needing repairs, many times your local community action agency can help with grants, but she would have to live in the house for a few years in lieu of repaying the grant. It would take time, but they say you can rebuild your credit. If you have credit cards, pay them down to at least half the current balance because that’s a big chunk of your credit score; take out a small personal loan and repay it to boost your score; make payment arrangements and pay off bad debts. That’s the only advice I have.
